"message": "[NET]: user of the jiffies rounding code: Networking\n\nThis patch introduces users of the round_jiffies() function in the\nnetworking code.\n\nThese timers all were of the \"about once a second\" or \"about once\nevery X seconds\" variety and several showed up in the \"what wakes the\ncpu up\" profiles that the tickless patches provide. Some timers are\nhighly dynamic based on network load; but even on low activity systems\nthey still show up so the rounding is done only in cases of low\nactivity, allowing higher frequency timers in the high activity case.\n\nThe various hardware watchdogs are an obvious case; they run every 2\nseconds but aren\u0027t otherwise specific of exactly when they need to\nrun.\n\nSigned-off-by: Arjan van de Ven \u003carjan@linux.intel.com\u003e\nSigned-off-by: Andrew Morton \u003cakpm@linux-foundation.org\u003e\nSigned-off-by: David S.
