      "message": "x86: auditsyscall: fix fastpath return value after reschedule\n\nIn the CONFIG_AUDITSYSCALL fast-path for x86 64-bit system calls,\nwe can pass a bad return value and/or error indication for the\nsystem call to audit_syscall_exit().  This happens when\nTIF_NEED_RESCHED was set as the system call returned, so we went\nout to schedule() and came back to the exit-audit fast-path.       "message": "Input: twl40300-keypad - fix handling of \"all ground\" rows\n\nThe Nokia RX51 board code (arch/arm/mach-omap2/board-rx51-peripherals.c)\ndefines a key map for the matrix keypad keyboard. The hardware seems to\nuse all of the 8 rows and 8 columns of the keypad, although not all\npossible locations are used.\n\nThe TWL4030 supports keypads with at most 8 rows and 8 columns. Most keys\nare defined with a row and column number between 0 and 7, except\n\n        KEY(0xff, 2, KEY_F9),\n        KEY(0xff, 4, KEY_F10),\n        KEY(0xff, 5, KEY_F11),\n\nwhich represent keycodes that should be emitted when entire row is\nconnected to the ground.  since the driver handles this case as if we\nhad an extra column in the key matrix.       "message": "x86: Fix x2apic preenabled system with kexec\n\nFound one x2apic system kexec loop test failed\nwhen CONFIG_NMI_WATCHDOG\u003dy (old) or CONFIG_LOCKUP_DETECTOR\u003dy (current tip)\n\nfirst kernel can kexec second kernel, but second kernel can not kexec third one.\n\nit can be duplicated on another system with BIOS preenabled x2apic.\nFirst kernel can not kexec second kernel.\n\nIt turns out, when kernel boot with pre-enabled x2apic, it will not execute\ndisable_local_APIC on shutdown path.\n\nwhen init_apic_mappings() is called in setup_arch, it will skip setting of\napic_phys when x2apic_mode is set. ( x2apic_mode is much early check_x2apic())\nThen later, disable_local_APIC() will bail out early because !apic_phys.\n\nSo check !x2apic_mode in x2apic_mode in disable_local_APIC with !apic_phys.\n\nanother solution could be updating init_apic_mappings() to set apic_phys even\nfor preenabled x2apic system.       "message": "PCI: fall back to original BIOS BAR addresses\n\nIf we fail to assign resources to a PCI BAR, this patch makes us try the\noriginal address from BIOS rather than leaving it disabled.\n\nLinux tries to make sure all PCI device BARs are inside the upstream\nPCI host bridge or P2P bridge apertures, reassigning BARs if necessary.\nWindows does similar reassignment.\n\nBefore this patch, if we could not move a BAR into an aperture, we left\nthe resource unassigned, i.e., at address zero.  Windows leaves such BARs\nat the original BIOS addresses, and this patch makes Linux do the same.\n\nThis is a bit ugly because we disable the resource long before we try to\nreassign it, so we have to keep track of the BIOS BAR address somewhere.\nFor lack of a better place, I put it in the struct pci_dev.\n\nI think it would be cleaner to attempt the assignment immediately when the\nclaim fails, so we could easily remember the original address.       "message": "powerpc/perf_event: Fix for power_pmu_disable()\n\nWhen power_pmu_disable() removes the given event from a particular index into\ncpuhw-\u003eevent[], it shuffles down higher event[] entries.  But, this array is\npaired with cpuhw-\u003eevents[] and cpuhw-\u003eflags[] so should shuffle them\nsimilarly.\n\nIf these arrays get out of sync, code such as power_check_constraints() will\nfail.  This caused a bug where events were temporarily disabled and then failed\nto be re-enabled; subsequent code tried to write_pmc() with its (disabled) idx\nof 0, causing a message \"oops trying to write PMC0\".       "message": "KVM: VMX: Fix host MSR_KERNEL_GS_BASE corruption\n\nenter_lmode() and exit_lmode() modify the guest\u0027s EFER.LMA before calling\nvmx_set_efer().  However, the latter function depends on the value of EFER.LMA\nto determine whether MSR_KERNEL_GS_BASE needs reloading, via\nvmx_load_host_state(). The attached patch implement nvram_getenv and enables\nbootup via NFS root on my router.\n\nMost of the patch is extracted from the OpenWrt subversion repository and\nstripped down and cleaned up to just fix this issue.\n\n[Ralf: sorted out header file inclusions.       "message": "ARM: 6194/1: change definition of cpu_relax() for ARM11MPCore\n\nLinux expects that if a CPU modifies a memory location, then that\nmodification will eventually become visible to other CPUs in the system.\n\nOn an ARM11MPCore processor, loads are prioritised over stores so it is\npossible for a store operation to be postponed if a polling loop immediately\nfollows it. If the variable being polled indirectly depends on the outstanding\nstore [for example, another CPU may be polling the variable that is pending\nmodification] then there is the potential for deadlock if interrupts are\ndisabled. This deadlock occurs in the KGDB testsuire when executing on an\nSMP ARM11MPCore configuration.\n\nThis patch changes the definition of cpu_relax() to smp_mb() for ARMv6 cores,\nforcing a flushing of the write buffer on SMP systems before the next load\ntakes place.       "message": "x86: Send a SIGTRAP for user icebp traps\n\nBefore we had a generic breakpoint layer, x86 used to send a\nsigtrap for any debug event that happened in userspace,\nexcept if it was caused by lazy dr7 switches.\n\nCurrently we only send such signal for single step or breakpoint\nevents.\n\nHowever, there are three other kind of debug exceptions:\n\n- debug register access detected: trigger an exception if the\n  next instruction touches the debug registers. We don\u0027t use\n  it.\n- task switch, but we don\u0027t use tss.\n- icebp/int01 trap. This instruction (0xf1) is undocumented and\n  generates an int 1 exception. Unlike single step through TF\n  flag, it doesn\u0027t set the single step origin of the exception\n  in dr6.\n\nicebp then used to be reported in userspace using trap signals\nbut this have been incidentally broken with the new breakpoint\ncode. Reenable this. Since this is the only debug event that\ndoesn\u0027t set anything in dr6, this is all we have to check.\n\nThis fixes a regression in Wine where World Of Warcraft got broken\nas it uses this for software protection checks purposes.
