ftrace: handle archs that do not support irqs_disabled_flags

Impact: build fix on non-lockdep architectures

Some architectures do not support a way to read the irq flags that
is set from "local_irq_save(flags)" to determine if interrupts were
disabled or enabled. Ftrace uses this information to display to the user
if the trace occurred with interrupts enabled or disabled.

Besides the fact that those archs that do not support this will fail to
compile, unless they fix it, we do not want to have the trace simply
say interrupts were not disabled or they were enabled, without knowing
the real answer.

This patch adds a 'X' in the output to let the user know that the
architecture they are running on does not support a way for the tracer
to determine if interrupts were enabled or disabled. It also lets those
same archs compile with tracing enabled.

Signed-off-by: Steven Rostedt <srostedt@redhat.com>
Signed-off-by: Ingo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu>

ACPI: Add "acpi.power_nocheck=1" to disable power state check in power transition

Maybe the incorrect power state is returned on the bogus bios, which
is different with the real power state. For example: the bios returns D0
state and the real power state is D3. OS expects to set the device to D0
state. In such case if OS uses the power state returned by the BIOS and
checks the device power state very strictly in power transition, the device
can't be transited to the correct power state.

So the boot option of "acpi.power_nocheck=1" is added to avoid checking
the device power in the course of device power transition.

http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8049
http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11000

Signed-off-by: Zhao Yakui <yakui.zhao@intel.com>
Signed-off-by: Zhang Rui <rui.zhang@intel.com>
Signed-off-by: Li Shaohua <shaohua.li@intel.com>
Signed-off-by: Andi Kleen <ak@linux.intel.com>
Signed-off-by: Len Brown <len.brown@intel.com>

powerpc: Support for relocatable kdump kernel

This adds relocatable kernel support for kdump. With this one can
use the same regular kernel to capture the kdump. A signature (0xfeed1234)
is passed in r6 from panic code to the next kernel through kexec_sequence
and purgatory code. The signature is used to differentiate between
kdump kernel and non-kdump kernels.

The purgatory code compares the signature and sets the __kdump_flag in
head_64.S. During the boot up, kernel code checks __kdump_flag and if it
is set, the kernel will behave as relocatable kdump kernel. This kernel
will boot at the address where it was loaded by kexec-tools ie. at the
address reserved through crashkernel boot parameter.

CONFIG_CRASH_DUMP depends on CONFIG_RELOCATABLE option to build kdump
kernel as relocatable. So the same kernel can be used as production and
kdump kernel.

This patch incorporates the changes suggested by Paul Mackerras to avoid
GOT use and to avoid two copies of the code.

Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
Signed-off-by: Mohan Kumar M <mohan@in.ibm.com>
Signed-off-by: Michael Ellerman <michael@ellerman.id.au>
Signed-off-by: Benjamin Herrenschmidt <benh@kernel.crashing.org>
"

This is because the original
MSI-X implementation did a request_mem_region() on this space, but that
code was removed long ago (in the pre-git era, in fact).
ext3: add an option to control error handling on file data

If the journal doesn't abort when it gets an IO error in file data blocks,
the file data corruption will spread silently. Because most of
applications and commands do buffered writes without fsync(), they don't
notice the IO error. It's scary for mission critical systems. On the
other hand, if the journal aborts whenever it gets an IO error in file
data blocks, the system will easily become inoperable. So this patch
introduces a filesystem option to determine whether it aborts the journal
or just call printk() when it gets an IO error in file data.

If you mount a ext3 fs with data_err=abort option, it aborts on file data
write error. If you mount it with data_err=ignore, it doesn't abort, just
call printk(). data_err=ignore is the default.

Signed-off-by: Hidehiro Kawai <hidehiro.kawai.ez@hitachi.com>
Cc: Jan Kara <jack@ucw.cz>
Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org>
Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>

coredump_filter: add hugepage dumping

Presently hugepage's vma has a VM_RESERVED flag in order not to be
swapped. But a VM_RESERVED vma isn't core dumped because this flag is
often used for some kernel vmas (e.g. vmalloc, sound related).

Thus hugepages are never dumped and it can't be debugged easily. Many
developers want hugepages to be included into core-dump.

However, We can't read generic VM_RESERVED area because this area is often
IO mapping area. then these area reading may change device state. it is
definitly undesiable side-effect.

So adding a hugepage specific bit to the coredump filter is better. It
will be able to hugepage core dumping and doesn't cause any side-effect to
any i/o devices.

In additional, libhugetlb use hugetlb private mapping pages as anonymous
page. Then, hugepage private mapping pages should be core dumped by
default.

Then, /proc/[pid]/core_dump_filter has two new bits.

- bit 5 mean hugetlb private mapping pages are dumped or not. (default: yes)
- bit 6 mean hugetlb shared mapping pages are dumped or not.
