In some\nnew systems such as Fedora Core 6, gcc by default passes --hash-style\u003dgnu\nto the linker, so that a standard invocation of \"gcc -shared\" results in\nproducing a DSO with only \".gnu.hash\". The new \".gnu.hash\" sections need\nto be dealt with the same way as \".hash\" sections in all respects; only the\ndynamic linker cares about their contents. To work with older dynamic\nlinkers (i.e. preexisting releases of glibc), a binary must have the old\n\".hash\" section. In other words, the noerror behaviour would apply to\n the next system call where we had to reschedule or deliver a signal,\n which is not necessarily the current system call.\n\n* 32-bit wasn\u0027t doing the call to ptrace_notify in the syscall exit\n path when the _TIF_SINGLESTEP bit was set.\n\n* _TIF_RESTOREALL was in both _TIF_USER_WORK_MASK and\n _TIF_PERSYSCALL_MASK, which is odd since _TIF_RESTOREALL is only set\n by system calls. I took it out of _TIF_USER_WORK_MASK.\n\n* On 64-bit, _TIF_RESTOREALL wasn\u0027t causing the non-volatile registers\n to be restored (unless perhaps a signal was delivered or the syscall\n was traced or single-stepped). Thus the non-volatile registers\n weren\u0027t restored on exit from a signal handler.
