      "message": "x86: optimize page faults like all other achitectures and kill notifier cruft\n\nx86(-64) are the last architectures still using the page fault notifier\ncruft for the kprobes page fault hook.       "message": "kallsyms: make KSYM_NAME_LEN include space for trailing \u0027\\0\u0027\n\nKSYM_NAME_LEN is peculiar in that it does not include the space for the\ntrailing \u0027\\0\u0027, forcing all users to use KSYM_NAME_LEN + 1 when allocating\nbuffer.  This is nonsense and error-prone.  Moreover, when the caller\nforgets that it\u0027s very likely to subtly bite back by corrupting the stack\nbecause the last position of the buffer is always cleared to zero.\n\nThis patch increments KSYM_NAME_LEN by one and updates code accordingly.\n\n* off-by-one bug in asm-powerpc/kprobes.h::kprobe_lookup_name() macro\n  is fixed.\n\n* Where MODULE_NAME_LEN and KSYM_NAME_LEN were used together,\n  MODULE_NAME_LEN was treated as if it didn\u0027t include space for the\n  trailing \u0027\\0\u0027.       "message": "[PATCH] Kprobes: Make kprobe modules more portable\n\nIn an effort to make kprobe modules more portable, here is a patch that:\n\no Introduces the \"symbol_name\" field to struct kprobe.\n  The symbol-\u003eaddress resolution now happens in the kernel in an\n  architecture agnostic manner. 64-bit powerpc users no longer have\n  to specify the \".symbols\"\no Introduces the \"offset\" field to struct kprobe to allow a user to\n  specify an offset into a symbol.\no The legacy mechanism of specifying the kprobe.addr is still supported.\n  However, if both the kprobe.addr and kprobe.symbol_name are specified,\n  probe registration fails with an -EINVAL.\no The symbol resolution code uses kallsyms_lookup_name(). So\n  CONFIG_KPROBES now depends on CONFIG_KALLSYMS\no Apparantly kprobe modules were the only legitimate out-of-tree user of\n  the kallsyms_lookup_name() EXPORT.       "message": "[PATCH] powerpc: sanitize header files for user space includes\n\ninclude/asm-ppc/ had #ifdef __KERNEL__ in all header files that\nare not meant for use by user space, include/asm-powerpc does\nnot have this yet.\n\nThis patch gets us a lot closer there. There are a few cases\nwhere I was not sure, so I left them out.       "message": "powerpc: Merge enough to start building in arch/powerpc.\n\nThis creates the directory structure under arch/powerpc and a bunch\nof Kconfig files.  It does a first-cut merge of arch/powerpc/mm,\narch/powerpc/lib and arch/powerpc/platforms/powermac.  This is enough\nto build a 32-bit powermac kernel with ARCH\u003dpowerpc.\n\nFor now we are getting some unmerged files from arch/ppc/kernel and\narch/ppc/syslib, or arch/ppc64/kernel.  This makes some minor changes\nto files in those directories and files outside arch/powerpc.\n\nThe boot directory is still not merged.
