An ops table has -\u003einherits field which can be set\nto any ops table as long as it doesn\u0027t create a loop. When the host\nis started, the inheritance chain is followed and any operation which\nisn\u0027t specified is taken from the nearest ancestor which has it\nspecified. This operation is called finalization and done only once\nper an ops table and the LLD doesn\u0027t have to do anything special about\nit other than making the ops table non-const such that libata can\nupdate it.\n\nlibata provides four base ops tables lower drivers can inherit from -\nbase, sata, pmp, sff and bmdma.
