"message": "ALSA: hda - HDMI sticky stream tag support\n\nWhen we run the following commands in turn (with\nCONFIG_SND_HDA_POWER_SAVE_DEFAULT\u003d0),\n\n\tspeaker-test -Dhw:0,3 -c2 -twav # HDMI\n\tspeaker-test -Dhw:0,0 -c2 -twav # Analog\n\nThe second command will produce sound in the analog lineout _as well as_\nHDMI sink. The root cause is, device 0 \"reuses\" the same stream tag that\nwas used by device 3, and the \"intelhdmi - sticky stream id\" patch leaves\nthe HDMI codec in a functional state. So the HDMI codec happily accepts\nthe audio samples which reuse its stream tag.\n\nThe proposed solution is to remember the last device each azx_dev was\nassigned to, and prefer to\n1) reuse the azx_dev (and hence the stream tag) the HDMI codec last used\n2) or assign a never-used azx_dev for HDMI\n\nWith this patch and the above two speaker-test commands,\nHDMI codec will use stream tag 8 and Analog codec will use 5.\n\nThe stream tag used by HDMI codec won\u0027t be reused by others, as long\nas we don\u0027t run out of the 4 playback azx_dev\u0027s. The legacy Analog\ncodec will continue to use stream tag 5 because its device id is 0\n(this is a bit tricky).\n\nSigned-off-by: Wu Fengguang \u003cfengguang.wu@intel.com\u003e\nSigned-off-by: Takashi Iwai \u003ctiwai@suse.de\u003e\n"
