Both of\nthese additional module parameters deal with embedded, non-intel or\ncomplicated system scenarios.\n\nAif_timeout can be increased past the default 2 minute timeout to drop\napplication registrations when a system has an unusually high event load\nresulting from continuing management requests, or simultaneous builds,\nor sluggish user space as a result of system load.\n\nStartup_timeout can be increased past the default 3 minute timeout to\ndrop an adapter initialization for systems that have a very large number\nof targets, or slow to spin-up targets, or a complicated set of array\nconfigurations that extend the time for the firmware to declare that it\nis operational. He discovered\nthat reducing the maximum transfer size issued to the adapter to 128KB\nstabilized his system. I hope that this isn\u0027t too big for a single patch.
