USB: android: Don't disable configuration for every adb close

Certain ADB commands like "adb usb" and "adb root" restart the
adb daemon running on the device. These commands require USB
bus reset, otherwise adb commands on the host side would stuck
for ever.

USB bus reset can be forced from device side by re-enabling the
same composition. Earlier, configuration is disabled when adb
daemon closes /dev/android_usb device file. The configuration
is enabled again after adb daemon opens the device file. This
approach solves the "adb usb" problem with the below side effects.

1. When USB cable is disconnected, the Rx request is flushed and
an error code is returned to user space. The adb daemon is simply
restarted in this case which cause an unnecessary rebinding of
all functions.
2. The above scenario can happen if host reset the bus when device
is in configured state. If device disable pull-up during, bus
reset, USB CV CH9 test cases are failing.

The commit d9b1897 (USB: android: Avoid re-enabling the same
configuration) fixed the above side effects. But silently ignores the
original "adb usb" problem.

This commit is another attempt to solve all the above mentioned problems
by forcing re-enumeration only when device is in connected state. That
means, "adb usb" and "adb root" commands force usb bus reset where as
plugging out a cable does not.

(cherry picked from commit 1aa235a6c0a3d67bff24609766baf5a7d5d8e3e4)

(cherry picked from commit 81fefe664ab6333f05209bed959a599a47baf71f)

Change-Id: Id3a40f62dd51aba6ec690d3326ed67ced32b946a
CRs-Fixed: 407882
Signed-off-by: Pavankumar Kondeti <pkondeti@codeaurora.org>

Signed-off-by: Neha Pandey <nehap@codeaurora.org>
"

If they are detected
not to be usable at runtime, we return -ENXIO to the caller.

Furthermore, if read_current_timer is exported then we can implement
get_cycles in terms of it for use as both an entropy source and for
 implementing __udelay and friends.

 Tested-by: Shinya Kuribayashi <shinya.kuribayashi.px@renesas.com>
 Reviewed-by: Stephen Boyd <sboyd@codeaurora.org>
 Signed-off-by: Will Deacon <will.deacon@arm.com>
 Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

ARM: 7452/1: delay: allow timer-based delay implementation to be
 selected

This patch allows a timer-based delay implementation to be selected by
switching the delay routines over to use get_cycles, which is
implemented in terms of read_current_timer. This further allows us to
skip the loop calibration and have a consistent delay function in the
 face of core frequency scaling.

To avoid the pain of dealing with memory-mapped counters, this
implementation uses the co-processor interface to the architected timers
when they are available. The previous loop-based implementation is
kept around for CPUs without the architected timers and we retain both
the maximum delay (2ms) and the corresponding conversion factors for
determining the number of loops required for a given interval. Since the
indirection of the timer routines will only work when called from C,
the sa1100 sleep routines are modified to branch to the loop-based delay
 functions directly.

 Tested-by: Shinya Kuribayashi <shinya.kuribayashi.px@renesas.com>
 Reviewed-by: Stephen Boyd <sboyd@codeaurora.org>
 Signed-off-by: Will Deacon <will.deacon@arm.com>
 Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

ARM: delay: set loops_per_jiffy when moving to timer-based loop

The delay functions may be called by some platforms between switching to
the timer-based delay loop but before calibration. In this case, the
initial loops_per_jiffy may not be suitable for the timer (although a
compromise may be achievable) and delay times may be considered too
 inaccurate.

This patch updates loops_per_jiffy when switching to the timer-based
delay loop so that delays are consistent prior to calibration.

 Signed-off-by: Will Deacon <will.deacon@arm.com>

ARM: delay: add registration mechanism for delay timer sources

The current timer-based delay loop relies on the architected timer to
initiate the switch away from the polling-based implementation. This is
unfortunate for platforms without the architected timers but with a
suitable delay source (that is, constant frequency, always powered-up
and ticking as long as the CPUs are online).

This patch introduces a registration mechanism for the delay timer
(which provides an unconditional read_current_timer implementation) and
updates the architected timer code to use the new interface.

 Signed-off-by: Jonathan Austin <jonathan.austin@arm.com>
 Signed-off-by: Will Deacon <will.deacon@arm.com>

 ARM: export default read_current_timer

read_current_timer is used by get_cycles since "ARM: 7538/1: delay:
add registration mechanism for delay timer sources", and get_cycles
can be used by device drivers in loadable modules, so it has to
 be exported.

Without this patch, building imote2_defconfig fails with

 ERROR: "read_current_timer" [crypto/tcrypt.ko] undefined!

 Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>
 Cc: Stephen Boyd <sboyd@codeaurora.org>
 Cc: Jonathan Austin <jonathan.austin@arm.com>
 Cc: Will Deacon <will.deacon@arm.com>
 Cc: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

Change-Id: If1ad095d6852f5966ea995856103e06de6ab2f59
Signed-off-by: Stephen Boyd <sboyd@codeaurora.org>

block: Add API for urgent request handling

This patch add support in block & elevator layers for handling
urgent requests. The decision if a request is urgent or not is taken
by the scheduler. Urgent request notification is passed to the underlying
block device driver (eMMC for example). Block device driver may decide to
interrupt the currently running low priority request to serve the new
urgent request. By doing so READ latency is greatly reduced in read&write
collision scenarios.

Note that if the current scheduler doesn't implement the urgent request
mechanism, this code path is never activated.

Change-Id: I8aa74b9b45c0d3a2221bd4e82ea76eb4103e7cfa
Signed-off-by: Tatyana Brokhman <tlinder@codeaurora.org>
"

If the device
runtime state had been active during system suspend and system
suspend routine put the device in suspend, it will not be resumed
during system resume. When remote wakeup happen for this device,
the runtime resume will not bring the device to active as runtime
core think it is already active.

The HSIC bus ensure that device is auto suspended prior to system
suspend by holding a wakelock till the bus is suspended. HSIC bus
is not handling the case where device is auto resumed immediately
after system suspend begins. It does so
by moving the pm_runtime_put_sync() call from the device_resume()
stage to device_complete(), which happens to act on the devices
in reverse (children before parent) order.

Thus when usb_resume() is called by device_resume(), we know its
parent will be runtime PM enabled and its usage counter is still
non-zero. This obviates the need to do an additional
pm_runtime_get_sync() before calling usb_resume_both() as the
device and its interfaces now have the opportunity to increment
the parent's power.child_count if necessary without fear of
having a runtime suspended parent.

CRs-fixed: 396041
Change-Id: I793ddfbb9bd88634f45f0c1e570a5d616248e3a8
Signed-off-by: Jack Pham <jackp@codeaurora.org>
"
