However the driver divided the SoC freq. only\nby 2. According to the TRM the platform clock (which the manual refers\nin its formula) is the system clock divided by two. So in the end it has\nto divide by 4 and this is what the fsl-spi driver in tree is doing.\nSince then the flash is not wokring I guess.       "message": "powerpc: Rework lazy-interrupt handling\n\nThe current implementation of lazy interrupts handling has some\nissues that this tries to address.\n\nWe don\u0027t do the various workarounds we need to do when re-enabling\ninterrupts in some cases such as when returning from an interrupt\nand thus we may still lose or get delayed decrementer or doorbell\ninterrupts.\n\nThe current scheme also makes it much harder to handle the external\n\"edge\" interrupts provided by some BookE processors when using the\nEPR facility (External Proxy) and the Freescale Hypervisor.\n\nAdditionally, we tend to keep interrupts hard disabled in a number\nof cases, such as decrementer interrupts, external interrupts, or\nwhen a masked decrementer interrupt is pending. This is sub-optimal.\n\nThis is an attempt at fixing it all in one go by reworking the way\nwe do the lazy interrupt disabling from the ground up.\n\nThe base idea is to replace the \"hard_enabled\" field with a\n\"irq_happened\" field in which we store a bit mask of what interrupt\noccurred while soft-disabled.\n\nWhen re-enabling, either via arch_local_irq_restore() or when returning\nfrom an interrupt, we can now decide what to do by testing bits in that\nfield.\n\nWe then implement replaying of the missed interrupts either by\nre-using the existing exception frame (in exception exit case) or via\nthe creation of a new one from an assembly trampoline (in the\narch_local_irq_enable case).\n\nThis removes the need to play with the decrementer to try to create\nfake interrupts, among others.\n\nIn addition, this adds a few refinements:\n\n - We no longer  hard disable decrementer interrupts that occur\nwhile soft-disabled. We now simply bump the decrementer back to max\n(on BookS) or leave it stopped (on BookE) and continue with hard interrupts\nenabled, which means that we\u0027ll potentially get better sample quality from\nperformance monitor interrupts.\n\n - Timer, decrementer and doorbell interrupts now hard-enable\nshortly after removing the source of the interrupt, which means\nthey no longer run entirely hard disabled. Again, this will improve\nperf sample quality.\n\n - On Book3E 64-bit, we now make the performance monitor interrupt\nact as an NMI like Book3S (the necessary C code for that to work\nappear to already be present in the FSL perf code, notably calling\nnmi_enter instead of irq_enter). However,\nEEH shouldn\u0027t depend on that actually because EEH needn\u0027t share much\ninformation with other PCI components. That\u0027s to say, EEH should have\nworked independently.\n\nThe patch introduces struct eeh_dev so that EEH core components needn\u0027t\nbe working based on struct pci_dn in future. Also, struct pci_dn, struct\neeh_dev instances are created in dynamic fasion and the binding with EEH\ndevice, OF node, PCI device is implemented as well.\n\nThe EEH devices are created after PHBs are detected and initialized, but\nPCI emunation hasn\u0027t started yet. Apart from that, PHB might be created\ndynamically through DLPAR component and the EEH devices should be creatd\nas well. Another case might be OF node is created dynamically by DR\n(Dynamic Reconfiguration), which has been defined by PAPR. For those OF\nnodes created by DR, EEH devices should be also created accordingly.       "message": "powerpc: Call do_page_fault() with interrupts off\n\nWe currently turn interrupts back to their previous state before\ncalling do_page_fault(). This can be annoying when debugging as\na bad fault will potentially have lost some processor state before\ngetting into the debugger.\n\nWe also end up calling some generic code with interrupts enabled\nsuch as notify_page_fault() with interrupts enabled, which could\nbe unexpected.\n\nThis changes our code to behave more like other architectures,\nand make the assembly entry code call into do_page_faults() with\ninterrupts disabled.       "message": "powerpc/icswx: Fix race condition with IPI setting ACOP\n\nThere is a race where a thread causes a coprocessor type to be valid\nin its own ACOP _and_ in the current context, but it does not\npropagate to the ACOP register of other threads in time for them to\nuse it.       "message": "carma-fpga: fix race between data dumping and DMA callback\n\nWhen the system is under heavy load, we occasionally saw a problem where\nthe system would get a legitimate interrupt when they should be\ndisabled.\n\nThis was caused by the data_dma_cb() DMA callback unconditionally\nre-enabling FPGA interrupts even when data dumping is disabled. When\ndata dumping was re-enabled, the irq handler would fire while a DMA was\nin progress. The \"BUG_ON(priv-\u003einflight !\u003d NULL);\" during the second\ninvocation of the DMA callback caused the system to crash.\n\nTo fix the issue, the priv-\u003eenabled boolean is moved under the\nprotection of the priv-\u003elock spinlock. The DMA callback checks the\nboolean to know whether to re-enable FPGA interrupts before it returns.\n\nNow that it is fixed, the driver keeps FPGA interrupts disabled when it\nexpects that they are disabled, fixing the bug.\n\nSigned-off-by: Ira W.       "message": "autofs: work around unhappy compat problem on x86-64\n\nWhen the autofs protocol version 5 packet type was added in commit\n5c0a32fc2cd0 (\"autofs4: add new packet type for v5 communications\"), it\nobvously tried quite hard to be word-size agnostic, and uses explicitly\nsized fields that are all correctly aligned.\n\nHowever, with the final \"char name[NAME_MAX+1]\" array at the end, the\nactual size of the structure ends up being not very well defined:\nbecause the struct isn\u0027t marked \u0027packed\u0027, doing a \"sizeof()\" on it will\nalign the size of the struct up to the biggest alignment of the members\nit has.\n\nAnd despite all the members being the same, the alignment of them is\ndifferent: a \"__u64\" has 4-byte alignment on x86-32, but native 8-byte\nalignment on x86-64.  And while \u0027NAME_MAX+1\u0027 ends up being a nice round\nnumber (256), the name[] array starts out a 4-byte aligned.\n\nEnd result: the \"packed\" size of the structure is 300 bytes: 4-byte, but\nnot 8-byte aligned.\n\nAs a result, despite all the fields being in the same place on all\narchitectures, sizeof() will round up that size to 304 bytes on\narchitectures that have 8-byte alignment for u64.\n\nNote that this is *not* a problem for 32-bit compat mode on POWER, since\nthere __u64 is 8-byte aligned even in 32-bit mode.  But on x86, 32-bit\nand 64-bit alignment is different for 64-bit entities, and as a result\nthe structure that has exactly the same layout has different sizes.\n\nSo on x86-64, but no other architecture, we will just subtract 4 from\nthe size of the structure when running in a compat task.  That way we\nwill write the properly sized packet that user mode expects.\n\nNot pretty. This results in some discarded fragments\nremaining in the queue, and triggering a \u0027bad seq\u0027 error on the\nsubsequent call to ppp_mp_reconstruct.  Fragments are discarded\nwhenever other fragments of the same frame have been lost.\nThis can generate a lot of unwanted and misleading log messages.\n\nThis patch also adds additional detail to the debug logging to\nmake it clearer which fragments were lost and which other fragments\nwere discarded as a result of losses.
