"message": "V4L (926_2): Moves compat32 functions from fs to v4l subsystem\n\nThis moves the 32 bit ioctl compatibility handlers for\nVideo4Linux into a new file and adds explicit calls to them\nto each v4l device driver.\n\nUnfortunately, there does not seem to be any code handling\nthe v4l2 ioctls, so quite often the code goes through two\nseparate conversions, first from 32 bit v4l to 64 bit v4l,\nand from there to 64 bit v4l2. This reduces the number of indirect includes of sched.h\nby ~300. Another ~400 pointless direct includes can be removed after\nthis disentangling (patch to follow later).\nHowever, quite a few indirect includes need to be fixed up for this.\n\nIn order to feed the patches through -mm with as little disturbance as\npossible, I\u0027ve split out the fixes I accumulated up to now (complete for\ni386 and x86_64, more archs to follow later) and post them before the real\npatch. "message": "[PATCH] clean up inline static vs static inline\n\n`gcc -W\u0027 likes to complain if the static keyword is not at the beginning of\nthe declaration. This patch fixes all remaining occurrences of \"inline\nstatic\" up with \"static inline\" in the entire kernel tree (140 occurrences in\n47 files).\n\nWhile making this change I came across a few lines with trailing whitespace\nthat I also fixed up, I have also added or removed a blank line or two here\nand there, but there are no functional changes in the patch.\n\nSigned-off-by: Jesper Juhl \u003cjuhl-lkml@dif.dk\u003e\nSigned-off-by: Andrew Morton \u003cakpm@osdl.org\u003e\nSigned-off-by: Linus Torvalds \u003ctorvalds@osdl.org\u003e\n"
